Recalibration and starting 2020 with 20/20 hindsight

On Day 1 of the new decade (and after much reflection) I did some digital housekeeping and prioritization to enable more intentionality for the new year

I noticed over the past 7 months or so the things I spent time to “unwind” doing weren’t the things that have traditionally brought joy. I haven’t read much, written even less, and let gym time slip.

TV, mindless phone app games, World of Tanks (yup) were obstacles to dialog, intentionality, and promoted isolationism.

I resumed therapy in the past few months dealing with some of the things 55+ months of deployment provide you. That’s going to continue. It helps make me a better person.

My wife @kashia got me a bullet journal for Christmas and I’ve begun using it to journal ideas, tasks, thoughts, and general musings. The intentionality of reflection is necessary to maintaining focus.
